Jack Stillman… unique, old-style bags and luggage made with traditional materials that endure our tough elements, whilst looking good for decades.
An Australian family owned and run business based in Fremantle, Western Australia, named after Jack Stillman. Jack was a survivor of the hellish naval warfare, in North Africa, June 1942, where he endured one of the heaviest attacks from Axis forces on a fleet of British and Australian ships, with horrendous loses over three days of battle.
He was a funny, popular and hardworking man who loved his family, a much admired and respected Grandfather and Great Grandfather of today’s Stillman family. Jack passed away in 2004, at 87 years.
Jack and his lineage always taught their families what it means to be men in Australia; to take responsibility, to be honest, to work until the job’s done. The Stillman’s of today are a product of this code:
Old-school values and respect that is earned not given…
Most of the family have also earned their motorcycling chops at an early age and very proud of their family business, including overwhelming support from their extended family.
All Jack Stillman bags, luggage and accessories are handmade in small batches from superior materials; they stand by a 10 year warranty on workmanship and hardware.
The Jack Stillman commitment is to make excellent, functional and tough bags to Australian standards, so they’re made to a standard not easily matched.
It’s not just the way they’re assembled, it’s the way they are designed and the quality of materials used that define their toughness.
Messenger bags, backpacks, satchels and wallets, all serving their owners for decades. The more they are used, the better they look and their own unique character is developed.
They’re a combination of durable leather, solid brass and waxed cotton canvas.
